High Impact Aerobics 12 min non-stop: Enough to burn fat?

Hi,

According to the book "Fit or Fat" by Covert Bailey (not exact quote) :

"12 mins of non-stop aerobic workout is the amount of time needed for the body to start producing FAT burning enzymes. The idea is that you want to get your body to use FAT for energy. After 12 minutes you start to burn fat at a higher rate."

I do High Impact aerobics 12 min non-stop, music set at 140 bpm (kind of fast) daily or every other day at the latest. I don't do more time, because by those 12 mins I'm kind of tired (I already did butt exercises and flexibility warm-ups for about 7-8 minutes, before the non-stop aerobics). Also, when I'm finished, I'm beginning to sweat a lot and I don't like to "pour" sweat, because I feel really uncomfortable until I get a shower.

Is it 12 minutes aerobics non-stop enough, or do I need to increase maybe a couple of minutes more, to REALLY burn fat?

it's a start. But u need to do at least 30 min of cardio 3-5 days per week. With what ur doing now, it will burn something, but not enough to notice a weight loss. Also increase the amount of resistance exercises u do. again this should be 20- 30 min a day 2-3 days per week.
